Vintage Holstein Cows in Sneakers Cartoon T-Shirt 90s

Nine Holsteins standing in the grass, and every one of them is wearing high-tops. Purple and yellow, red and blue, laces done up, tiny hearts on the tongues. The cow at front right has sunglasses on. That’s the entire joke, repeated nine times, and it’s better for the repetition — one cow in sneakers is a gag, a whole herd is a situation.

Cartoon cows were a genuine phenomenon in this stretch of the late 80s and 90s. They turned up on tees, mugs, kitchen towels, mailbox covers, and note cards, usually signed by whichever artist had cornered the market locally. This one is marked © Jimmy ’93, a first-name signature of the kind these illustrators often used.
